Research on clustering routing algorithm for WSN based on ant colony optimization algorithm

摘要Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a multi-hop wireless communication network which is formed by many sensor nodes and has the characteristics of fast deployment, limited node energy, variable topology and so on, the existing clustering routing protocols for WSN, are mainly communicated to sink nodes through the cluster heads directly, which will make the energy of the cluster heads far away from the sink nodes consumed too fast. On the basic of traditional clustering routing algorithms for WSN, this paper proposed a clustering routing algorithm for WSN based on the improved ant colony algorithm. It sets the distance between the sensor node and the sink node as a heuristic function, and the best route for data transmission is obtained, taking into account the residual energy of the node in the choice of node probability formula, which reduces the energy consumption of cluster head nodes, realizes the efficient use of node energy and prolongs the network lifetime. And the performance of the algorithm was simulated with NS-2, the results showed that compared with the traditional clustering algorithms, CARR algorithm has a more obvious advantage for establishing the optimal path and reducing the energy consumption of network nodes in WSN.
