Energy-balanced data Gathering algorithm based on ant colony optimization

摘要In wireless sensor network data collection process, the energy of some nodes consume excessively because of the uneven distribution of network data flow, which shorten the network lifetime. In order to improve the energy efficiency of network, the energy-balanced data gathering based on ant colony optimization (Energy-balanced Data Gathering algorithm based on ACO, EDG-ACO) algorithm was presented. The algorithm gives consideration to the node's residual energy, the distance to the neighbor nodes, the distance between neighbor nodes and the base and so on, with the aim to avoid selecting the low power node as the transmit node by updating the strategy through pheromone. Simulation results show that, EDG-ACO algorithm can improve the network level of energy balance effectively, compared with the related data collection algorithms, it can balance the node energy consumption and prolong the network lifetime better.
